Kyrgios interviews Djokovic with one mic and gets it wrong

Nick Kyrgios, who made his debut as a television commentator at the ATP Finals in Turin, is getting the hang of it as he is back in the same role at this year’s Australian Open following a wrist injury that has sidelined him from competing.
Kyrgios stepped out onto Rod Laver Arena for the first time on Tuesday to do a post-match interview with his admired Novak Djokovic.
The Australian, wearing a Chicago Bulls cap, had only one microphone. He had forgotten the other. “I never would have thought I’d be here,” he told Djokovic.
Kyrgios asked the 24-time major champion for advice on how to win the Australian Open and Djokovic referred him to a tree in the Botanic Gardens in Victoria’s capital.
A kiss with a dedication
Novak, who blew the Canberra native a kiss during his quarter-final with Taylor Fritz, asked him if he was going to stay for commentary on the match between Jannik Sinner and Andrey Rublev, which is expected to finish in the early hours of the morning. “I’m going to go to sleep,” replied Kyrgios
At the end of the interview, Kyrgios made a small blunder as he asked the crowd to applaud Djokovic while saying that he is now in the quarter finals, before the Serbian had to correct him. He had, in fact, just reached the semis.
