AC Milan make bid for Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze| SolSportHQ

AC Milan have bid for Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze in a package worth up to €25million (£21.3m).

The 24-year-old, who has one year left on his contract, wants to leave Villarreal and has reached an agreement on personal terms with the Italian side.

The Athletic has reported that Milan are also interested in Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic, and have lodged two bids for the 24-year-old USMNT winger. The last of those was a package worth up to €22m.

Chukwueze, a left-footed forward who likes to operate from the right flank, joined Villarreal in the summer of 2017 and was promoted to the first team the next year.

During his six years at the club, the Nigeria international has made 207 appearances, scoring 37 goals and providing 31 assists.

Last season, Chukwueze had one of his most productive campaigns in a Villarreal shirt, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists in 50 appearances. He also produced a man-of-the-match performance against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in April, where he scored a brace and led his side to a 3-2 victory.
