Mason Greenwood has been pictured training with his Manchester United team-mate Anthony Elanga in Dubai.
In an image posted by The Sun, Greenwood was seen with Elanga as well as Udinese player James Abankwah.
Greenwood has been suspended by United for 18 months following his arrest in January 2022 on suspicion of rape and assault, and did not report for pre-season training with his teammates.
United have been conducting an internal investigation since the Crown Prosecution Service dropped all charges against Greenwood in February, and the likelihood is that the 21-year-old striker will be loaned out to a European club for the forthcoming season.
United are considering loaning Greenwood to Atalanta as part of their bid to sign Rasmus Hojlund.
Hojlund is United’s main striker target this summer, but Atalanta value him at £86million.
A final decision has yet to be made regarding the future of Greenwood, who has scored 35 goals in 129 games for United. He has two years remaining on his contract at the club.
United are reluctant to sell Greenwood, who made his senior England debut in 2020.
Erik ten Hag’s side will face Leeds on Wednesday in their first pre-season friendly in Norway.
Mason Mount, United’s only major signing so far this summer, could feature in that game.
