Manchester City want Kyle Walker to agree a new one-year contract extension| SolSportHQ
Manchester City want Kyle Walker to sign a new 12 month extension amid serious interest from Bayern Munich and Juventus.
Walker’s future is uncertain heading into the new season with the right-back set to choose from one of three options in the coming days.
Bayern Munich want to sign the England international this summer and are pushing hard to land the right-back.
Agreeing personal terms with Walker is unlikely to be an obstacle towards a potential deal to the Allianz Arena, although formal discussions over a financial package will only be concluded if City and Bayern can strike a deal for his transfer.
Mail Sport has also learned that Juventus are expressing a late interest in the 32-year-old defender.
But City have offered the full-back a new deal with a view to keeping their experienced star at the Etihad.
Walker has played a key role in City’s dominance domestically and in Europe during Pep Guardiola’s reign.
But a move to the continent – and the prospect of a longer contract – may tempt Walker into calling time on his trophy-laden career at City.
