Spurs fans implored Harry Kane to remain at the club as they sang ‘we want you to stay’ in their 5-1 friendly win over Shakhtar Donestsk.
The England captain scored four as the north Londoners romped to victory in their first home game under Ange Postecoglou.
Bayern Munich submitted their final offer of £86m on Friday and set a response deadline of that night.
However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy seemingly ignored the cut-off set by the German giants by flying to the USA. He wants £100m for his talisman.
His performance against Shakhtar Donetsk only underlined his value as he converted a penalty in the first-half before hitting a second-half hat-trick.
The 30-year-old is coming into the final year of his contract with his boyhood club and there is something of an impasse between Spurs and Bayern.
Levy drives a hard bargain for his players and has demanded a princely sum for Kane but the Bavarian side are unwilling to meet an eight-figure valuation when they know that, as things stand, he will be available for free next summer.
Kane has so far not accepted the bumper £400,000-per-week deal that has reportedly been tabled and Tottenham owner Joe Lewis told Levy that he must sell the club’s all-time top goalscorer if he does not sign on the dotted line.
That said, it has emerged in recent days that he would be willing to extend his time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if the team shows significant progress under new manager Postecoglou.
Spurs stuttered to eighth in the Premier League table last year, missing out on European football entirely, while Bayern wrapped up their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title.
This coming week they are set to bolster their attacking options by adding Rosario’s 19-year-old striker Alejo Veliz for £12m, pending a medical.
