[ad_1]
Tennis fans are getting excited for the commencement of one of the biggest tournaments on the calendar, with the US Open getting underway for its 2023 edition.
This is the last Grand Slam of 2023 which means that there is even more excitement and anticipation, as fans get ready to see whether Carlos Alcaraz can defend his crown from 2022 and remain the number one men’s tennis player in the world.
Officially, the tournament got underway on Monday, August 28 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York.
The defending women’s champion is Iga Swiatek and she is back this year, just like Alcaraz, to defend her crown.
Novak Djokovic missed this open last year due to the country’s tyrannical rules against the unvaccinated against COVID-19, but he is going to return to America and will think that he can lay a marker down after Alcaraz beat him at Wimbledon earlier this summer.
How to watch the US Open in the USA
The tournament runs from August 28-September 10 which means there is lots of action to enjoy.
The main TV channel in the USA to watch the action is ESPN, with streaming available on ESPN+, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV and VPN.
ESPN will be the exclusive U.S. home of America’s Grand Slam in 2023.
ESPN and its family of networks (ESPN2, ABC, ESPN Deportes) will air over 140 hours of US Open coverage this year. ESPN+ and ESPN3 will also carry some coverage of the tennis tournament.
