“I’d say emotionally I’ll be very ready to fight. Not going crazy,” Sabalenka said.
“Because when you play your first final, you get emotional and rush things sometimes.
“When you’re third time in the finals, you’re like, OK, it’s a final. It’s OK. It’s just another match. You’re able to separate yourself from that thing. Just focus on your game.”
Meanwhile, Zheng reached the final by defeating Ukrainian qualifier Dayana Yastremska in straight sets.
Sabalenka and Zheng have faced each other once before at a Grand Slam, with Sabalenka winning 6-1, 6-4 in the quarter-finals of the US Open last season.
Zheng aims to follow in the footsteps of her childhood idol Li Na, the 2014 Australian Open champion, by securing victory in Melbourne.
